DIVERSITY IN BEND
When you think of diversity, few people think about birds. Ilene Kulk gave a lovely presentation about the goose and duck population in Bend's Mirror Pond. Besides the Canadian Goose, she has spotted five kinds of ducks. Ducks are divided into two categories: dabble or dive. Among those highlighted were the American Wigeon, the Hooded Merganser, and the Bufflehead. Ilene entertained us with colorful sides.
