VISUAL THINKING STATEGIES
VTS uses art to engage people to think creatively. Art education should be engaging, inclusive, and equitable. Kate Tiernan showed us several painting that are used by VTS. The basic questions are “What’s in the picture?”, “What makes you think that?” and “What more can you find?”. For more information on VTS, go to vtshome.org. A WEEK IN THE HOSPITAL
Bill Martin recently spent a week in the hospital, and only someone that has spent time as a stand-up comedian can see the humor in the situation. Detailing everything from the young women who moved him from place to place, the staff, the emergency room, and even the paint in the hallways, Bill made the most dire of circumstances something to smile at. Fortunately, he is home now, and willing to share his storytelling abilities with our club.
